The decision to continue always stays with the user. The app also includes focus schedules, daily time limits, and an optional friends feature. Everything stays on-device — there's no account.

Think First is a native iOS app (Swift/SwiftUI) that inserts a deliberate moment before distracting apps like Instagram or TikTok open. Instead of a hard block, it shows a calm countdown with a single reflection question — the decision to continue always stays with the user. Two modes are available: a fully animated countdown timer, or an instantly active shield via Apple's Screen Time framework that needs no setup at all. Beyond that pause, Think First offers time-based focus sessions, per-app daily limits with an optional “Hard Mode,” and a progress system built on levels, streaks and badges that rewards impulses resisted rather than raw screen time. An optional friends feature lets users privately compare their week with up to 50 people. The app works entirely on-device: no account, no ads, no tracking.
